Product Instructions
Stovetop Instructions: Step 1: Slowly stir grits and salt (optional) into briskly boiling water. Step 2: Reduce heat to medium-low; cover. Step 3: Cook 5 to 7 minutes or until desired thickness, stirring occasionally. Step 4: Remove from heat. Serve warm.
Caution: Bowl and contents may be hot. Wash hands, utensils and surfaces after handling. Do not eat or play with raw grits.
Microwave Instructions*: Step 1: Combine water, grits and a dash of salt (optional) in a 2-cup microwave-safe bowl; stir. Step 2: Microwave on high 3 to 4 minutes (180 degrees F) or until thickened when stirred. Step 3: Grits must be fully cooked to 180 degrees F before eating to prevent illness. * Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.

Microwave: Servings: 1; 1 cup water (or milk)**; 1/4 cup (4 Tbsp) grits; dash salt (optional). **Adjust liquid for desired thickness.
