  • Safe Handling Instructions: This product was prepared from inspected and passed meat and/or poultry. Some food products may contain bacteria that could cause illness if the product is mishandled or cooked improperly. For your protection, follow these safe handling instructions. Keep refrigerated or frozen. Thaw in refrigerator or microwave. Cook thoroughly. Keep raw meats and poultry separate from other foods. Wash working surfaces (including cutting boards), utensils, and hands after touching raw meat or poultry. Keep hot foods hot. Refrigerate leftovers immediately or discard.

Product Instructions
Directions: Simmer: Remove meat from package, place in a pot and cover with water. If desired, add contents of spice packet (corned beef is already seasoned). Cover pot, bring to a boil then reduce to a simmer. Simmer about 50 minutes per pound or until fork-tender. Remove from pot and let cool 20 to 30 minutes.
Note: Always slice meat across the grain. Cook all meats thoroughly. Cook to a safe internal temperature of at least 160 degrees F. Always use a meat thermometer to determine the temperature. Do not rely solely on suggested cooking times. Cooking appliances vary in temperature and cooking times are a guide only.

Bake: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Remove meat from package and place on a rack in a pan, fat side up. Add about 1 inch water, add contents of spice packet if desired (corned beef is already seasoned) and cover pan with lid or foil. Bake about 50 minutes per pound or until fork-tender. With 10 minutes left, uncover pan and bake at 375 degrees F. Once cooked, remove from oven and let cool 20 to 30 minutes. Pour cooked juices over corned beef.
