Product Instructions
To Soak: Quick Soak Method: Carefully sort and rinse beans in a large pot. Add 6 to 8 cups of hot water for every pound (about 2 cups) of beans. Bring to a rapid boil and continue boiling for 2 minutes. Remove from heat, cover and let stand for 1 hour. Drain water and rinse beans.
Beans are a natural agricultural product. Despite use of modern cleaning equipment, it is not always possible to remove all foreign material. Sort and rinse beans before cooking.
Overnight Soak Method: Carefully sort and rinse beans in a large pot. Add 6 to 8 cups of cold water for every pound (about 2 cups) of beans. Let stand overnight or at least 6 to 8 hours. Drain water and rinse beans.

To Cook: Add 6 to 8 cups of hot water to drained and rinsed beans. Simmer gently with lid tilted until desired tenderness is reached, about 1-1/2 to 2 hours.
