Product Instructions
Oven Directions: Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. In a 1-1/2 quart baking dish, stir together potatoes, sauce mix, 2 cups boiling (use boiling water for best potato texture and sauce appearance) water, 1/2 cup 2% milk, and 2 tablespoons butter. Bake uncovered about 25 minutes or until top is light golden brown and potatoes are tender. Remove from oven (sauce will thicken as it stands).
Stove-Top Directions: Heat potatoes, sauce mix, 2 cups hot water, 2 tablespoons butter and ½ cup 2% milk to boiling in 2-quart saucepan over high heat, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat; cover and simmer about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until potatoes are tender and sauce is as thick as you’d like. (Sauce will thicken as it stands.) High Altitude: No changes.
Microwave Directions: Stir together potatoes, sauce mix, 2-1/2 cups hot water, 1/2 cup 2% milk, and 2 tablespoons butter in a 2-quart microwave-safe dish. Microwave uncovered on high for 13 to 18 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes, until potatoes are tender. (Sauce will thicken as it stands.) Dish will be hot. Note: Cooking time is approximate because microwave ovens vary. High Altitude: Increase hot water to 2-3/4 cups and microwave time to 15 to 20 minutes.
